Abstract

Objectives: The study aims to develop the OncoCare Assist application on the AppSheet platform and to evaluate its feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness in oncology practice.

Subjects and methods: A two-phase study: application development using an action research approach, followed by a cross-sectional evaluation involving 12 physicians who trialed the application.

Results: OncoCare Assist comprises 32 tables, 2962 columns, 96 interfaces, and 108 actions, supporting patient data storage, clinical workflow management, and real-time research. The mean System Usability Scale score was 83.1 ± 6.5 (“Excellent”), and task completion time decreased by 90.5% compared with manual methods.

Conclusion: OncoCare Assist is a feasible, user-friendly solution that standardizes data, reduces administrative burden, and supports clinical oncology research.
