35. KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ORAL CARE OF PREGNANT WOMEN WHO COME FOR EXAMINATION AT NAM DINH OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY HOSPITAL

Abstract
Research objective: Describe knowledge and factors related to oral hygiene of pregnant women.
Subjects and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 119 pregnant women examined at Nam Dinh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from February to June 2022.
Results: About general knowledge, there were 48.7% of people have good knowledge; 73.1% of respondents have good knowledge about regular dental check-ups; 71.4% of people have good knowledge about disease prevention measures; 60.5% of people know about disease manifestations; 58.8% of people know about causes of disease and 51.3% people know how to brush teeth. Factors such as place of residence, education level and finding information about dental diseases during pregnancy were mainly related to the knowledge of the research subjects, with p < 0.05.
Conclusions: Women’s knowledge about oral care during pregnancy is not good. It is necessary to improve the consulting role of doctors and nurses to women on oral care during pregnancy, thereby improving their health to have a healthy pregnancy.
