13. APPLICATION OF JSS TOOL IN SURVEYING JOB SATISFACTION OF NURSING CLINICAL DEPARTMENTS AT CU CHI REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL, HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM

Abstract
Introduction: According to current global trends, there is increasing concern about the satisfaction of medical staff, especially nurses in clinical departments. They play a key role in ensuring quality patient care. Nurse satisfaction is one of the main factors that strongly impacts employee retention or departure. At the same time, it is an important indicator in evaluating the activities and quality of medical services at a unit.
Objective: Determine the job satisfaction rate of nurses in clinical departments at Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and related factors.
Research subjects and methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study conducted on 197 nurses at clinical departments of Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The study uses the JSS scale (Job Satisfaction Survey) to evaluate job satisfaction, combined with comparing the satisfaction rate with the scale of the Ministry of Health according to Decision No. 3869/QĐ-BYT issued on August 28/2019.
Results: The overall job satisfaction rate of the JSS toolkit reached 87,82%. In particular, the satisfaction rate in terms of relationships with colleagues is highest (97,97%) and the lowest in terms of working conditions (51,27%). Found a relationship between overall job satisfaction and seniority working at the hospital.
Conclusion: Nurses' job satisfaction is relatively high, however, it is necessary to continue to improve and pay attention to working conditions, reward systems, and promotion opportunities.
