Mục tiêu: Mô tả thực trạng ăn sáng và phân tích mối liên quan giữa việc bỏ bữa sáng với tình trạng suy giảm nhận thức, tình trạng dinh dưỡng ở người cao tuổi tại một số xã/phường vùng ven biển, thành phố Huế

Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Nghiên cứu cắt ngang được thực hiện trên 489 người cao tuổi tại một số xã/phường vùng ven biển, thành phố Huế từ tháng 11/2025 đến tháng 3/2026. Phân tích hồi quy logistic đa biến để xác định yếu tố liên quan đến tình trạng suy giảm nhận thức và tình trạng dinh dưỡng ở người cao tuổi

Kết quả nghiên cứu: Trong tổng số 489 người cao tuổi tham gia vào nghiên cứu, có 17,2% bỏ bữa ăn sáng. Hơn 80% có nguy cơ suy dinh dưỡng/suy dinh dưỡng. 26,6% có suy giảm nhận thức ở các mức độ khác nhau. Kết quả từ mô hình hồi quy logistic đa biến cho thấy bỏ bữa sáng, tuổi cao hơn, giới tính nữ và trình độ học vấn thấp có liên quan đến tình trạng suy giảm nhận thức. Chưa ghi nhận mối liên quan có ý nghĩa thống kê giữa bỏ bữa sáng và tình trạng dinh dưỡng trong nghiên cứu này.

Kết luận: Bỏ bữa sáng ở người cao tuổi vùng ven biển thành phố Huế còn khá phổ biến và có liên quan đến suy giảm nhận thức. Kết quả này gợi ý thói quen ăn sáng là một yếu tố cần được quan tâm trong quản lý và chăm sóc sức khỏe người cao tuổi tại cộng đồng, đặc biệt ở khu vực ven biển.
