TỔNG QUAN CÁC NGHIÊN CỨU ĐÁNH GIÁ TÁC ĐỘNG KINH TẾ CỦA TĂNG CƯỜNG VI CHẤT DINH DƯỠNG VÀO THỰC PHẨM

Mục tiêu: Thiếu vi chất dinh dưỡng là một vấn đề sức khỏe cộng đồng quan trọng, gây ra tổn thất kinh tế đáng kể ở nhiều quốc gia. Tăng cường sắt, iod và kẽm vào thực phẩm là một biện pháp dự phòng được khuyến nghị rộng rãi, song việc triển khai chính sách tại một số bối cảnh còn gặp thách thức. Nghiên cứu này nhằm tổng hợp các bằng chứng quốc tế về tác động kinh tế của chương trình tăng cường 3 vi chất nói trên.

Phương pháp: Nghiên cứu tiến hành tổng quan tài liệu (desk study) từ hai cơ sở dữ liệu PubMed và Google Scholar, sàng lọc các nghiên cứu phù hợp và tổng hợp các phát hiện chính.

Kết quả: Các bằng chứng cho thấy chương trình tăng cường vi chất mang lại hiệu quả kinh tế đáng kể. Tăng cường sắt có tỷ số lợi ích-chi phí dao động từ 6:1 đến 36:1 trong các bối cảnh nghiên cứu khác nhau. Chương trình iod hóa muối toàn dân ghi nhận lợi ích-chi phí lên đến 30:1 và giảm mạnh gánh nặng rối loạn do thiếu iod. Tăng cường kẽm, đặc biệt ở các quốc gia có mức tiêu thụ bột mì cao, cũng cho thấy hiệu quả tích cực với lợi ích-chi phí khoảng 14,6:1.

Kết luận: Các bằng chứng tổng hợp cho thấy tăng cường vi chất dinh dưỡng vào thực phẩm là một can thiệp y tế dự phòng đem lại lợi ích kinh tế đáng kể. Kết quả có thể hỗ trợ quá trình xem xét, điều chỉnh và hoàn thiện chính sách tăng cường vi chất dinh dưỡng tại Việt Nam.
