Mất răng sữa sớm là một trong những nguyên nhân chính gây ra chen chúc răng và sai lệch khớp cắn. Khí cụ giữ khoảng cố định được sử dụng nhằm duy trì khoảng trống cho răng vĩnh viễn mọc đúng vị trí, góp phần giảm nguy cơ các biến chứng như sai khớp cắn hoặc răng chen chúc. Bài báo này phân tích các trường hợp lâm sàng tiêu biểu sử dụng khí cụ giữ khoảng cố định và đề xuất khuyến nghị về cách ứng dụng thích hợp trong thực tiễn.
