Ngã phổ biến ở người cao tuổi. Ngã có thể gây tử vong, giảm chất lượng cuộc sống, tăng chi phí điều trị. Kiến thức về ngã của điều dưỡng ảnh hưởng tới hiệu quả phòng ngã. Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang thực hiện trên 189 điều dưỡng để mô tả kiến thức về ngã và các yếu tố liên quan. Tỉ lệ điều dưỡng có kiến thức đạt lần lượt là 63,5% đạt kiến thức chung; 47,6% đạt về các yếu tố nguy cơ; 55% đạt về đánh giá nguy cơ ngã; 84,1% đạt về các biện pháp phòng ngã. Các yếu tố liên quan đến ngã là cập nhật kiến thức, tham gia khóa học phòng ngã, mong muốn học về phòng ngã, biết ngã là tiêu chí đánh giá chất lượng bệnh viện, biết chương trình phòng ngã.
