Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu can thiệp cộng đồng có nhóm chứng, mù đôi, đánh giá hiệu quả sử dụng viên đa vi chất (ĐVC) lên tình trạng thiếu kẽm, thiếu vitamin A của nữ vị thành niên Trung học phổ thông (THPT) miền núi tỉnh Thanh Hóa năm 2019 - 2020, phân loại chỉ số sinh hóa theo Tổ chức Y tế Thế giới (WHO) và hướng dẫn của Tổ chức Tư vấn quốc tế về thiếu kẽm dinh dưỡng (IZiNCG). 322 nữ học sinh tham gia can thiệp chia ngẫu nhiên thành 2 nhóm, nhóm can thiệp uống viên ĐVC gồm 23 loại vitamin và chất khoáng trong đó kẽm (10,8 mg), vitamin A (550mcg), nhóm chứng uống viên giả dược, 1 viên/tuần trong 9 tháng. Kết quả sau 9 tháng can thiệp, nồng độ kẽm huyết thanh trung bình của nhóm can thiệp (11,35 ± 2,88 µmol/l) đã được cải thiện rõ rệt và cao hơn có ý nghĩa so với nhóm chứng (10,51 ± 2,08 µmol/l) với p<0,05. Tuy nhiên nồng độ retinol trung bình giữa hai nhóm chưa thấy có sự khác biệt rõ rệt mặc dù ở nhóm Can thiệp đã có sự cải thiện có ý nghĩa so với thời điểm ban đầu với mức tăng là 0,07 ±  0,30 µmol/l. Tỷ lệ thiếu kẽm, thiếu vitamin A tiền lâm sàng giữa hai nhóm sau can thiệp khác biệt không có ý nghĩa thống kê.
