Objective: Initial evaluation of the effectiveness of using guide troughs in partial implant implantation.
Subjects and methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 21 patients undergoing 34 standard implants at the Implant Department, Hanoi Central Odonto-Stomatology Hospital from October 2021 to October 2022.
Results: The average implant torque in the study was 43,03 ± 9,095 Ncm; The deviation of the actual implant after surgery compared to the expected plan is within safe limits: deviation at the implant neck 0,8 ± 0,46 mm; at the tip: 0,9 ± 0,47 mm; angle 2,5 ± 0,38° and vertical: 0,7 ± 0,35 mm.
Conclusion: Using a surgical guide in partial implant implantation allows the implant to have good initial stability, playing an important role in successful osseointegration; Actual implant deviation after surgery is within safe limits.
