Objective: To describe the current situation of the life’s quality of cancer patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy in Nghe An Oncology Hospital and analyze some factors related to cancer patients’ quality of life with chemoradiotherapy.
Research subject and method: It’s a cross-sectional descriptive research of 385 patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy. EORTC QLQ-C30 intergrated system is used to assess the quality of life of the research subject.
Results: The average point of the quality of life according to the patient's general health status was 48,2. In function field, the highest score was awareness function with 78,4 points, while the lowest one was social function with 55,8 points. Factors of gender, Cancer location, number of hospitalizations are related to the quality of life of research subject.
Conclusion: The life’s quality point of cancer patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy in Nghe An Oncology Hospital is at average. Physical factors, activities, loss of appetite and location of the cancer can be used as a predictor of their quality of life.
