Objective: To describe the current status of continuing education among healthcare workers at Thanh Hoa Oncology Hospital during 2024–2025.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 278 physicians, nurses, and medical technicians from December 2025 to June 2026. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire to retrospectively assess continuing education activities undertaken in 2024–2025 and were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
Results: The proportion of healthcare workers participating in training, technical transfer, and professional development decreased from 59.7% in 2024 to 51.1% in 2025. These activities were mainly organized at the hospital, conducted in face-to-face formats, and focused on professional expertise. Participation in scientific conferences and seminars increased from 33.8% to 39.1%. Participation in scientific research remained low (15.8% and 15.1%, respectively), while participation in developing training materials and professional teaching was below 3%.
Conclusion: Continuing education activities mainly focused on training and professional development. Participation in scientific research, development of training materials, and professional teaching remained limited and should be strengthened.
