Objective: To describe health-related quality of life (HRQoL) measured using the EQ-5D-5L and to identify factors associated with HRQoL scores among older adults with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Subjects and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 171 older adults with symptomatic KOA who presented for examination and treatment at the Hospital for Traumatology and Orthopaedics and the Hospital for Rehabilitation – Occupational Disease Treatment from March 2026 to June 2026. Result: The mean EQ-5D-5L utility score was 0.609 ± 0.264. The dimensions with the highest prevalence of reported problems were pain/discomfort (95.3%), mobility (79.5%), and usual activities (79.0%). Multivariable analysis showed that female sex, obesity, and moderate-to-severe pain were associated with lower HRQoL scores, whereas exercise was associated with higher HRQoL scores. Conclusion: HRQoL among older adults with KOA was primarily affected by pain/discomfort and functional limitations. Female sex, obesity, and greater pain severity were associated with lower HRQoL, whereas exercise was associated with better HRQoL.
