This study was conducted to assess patient satisfaction and examine several associated factors related to outpatient healthcare services at Hai Phong City Police Hospital in 2024.
A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 416 outpatients receiving medical examination and treatment at the Outpatient Department and the Emergency and Intensive Care Department. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale, covering four domains: healthcare personnel, medical examination and treatment process, facilities and environment, and service outcomes.
The overall patient satisfaction rate was 78.61%, with a mean satisfaction score of 4.14. Healthcare personnel received the highest satisfaction ratings, whereas the medical examination and treatment process received the lowest ratings, mainly due to waiting time and administrative procedures. Patient satisfaction was significantly associated with age, frequency of hospital visits, and reason for seeking medical care (p < 0.05).
The findings indicate that outpatient satisfaction at Hai Phong City Police Hospital was at a relatively high level. Further improvements in the medical examination and treatment process, reduction of waiting time, and enhanced application of information technology in healthcare management are recommended to improve service quality and patient experience.
