RESULTS OF TREATMENT OF CONVENTIONAL PSORIASIS WITH GUSELKUMAB AT 19-8 HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and adverse effects of a biological drug in patients with moderate-to-severe common psoriasis. Subjects and methods: A retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study; 18 patients with moderate-to-severe common psoriasis; guselkumab was administered at standard doses at weeks 0, 4, and 12. Efficacy and adverse effects were evaluated before each injection, from March 2024 to June 2026. Results: At week 12 (after 2 injections), 100% achieved PASI 75, with 44.44% (n=8) achieving PASI 90 and 11.11% (n-2) achieving PASI 100; 72.22% achieved DLQI 0/1. There were no serious adverse effects, with only 5.56% (n=1) experiencing local inflammation. The most common reason for treatment discontinuation was economic 5.56% (n=1). Conclusion: guselkumab is an effective, long-lasting, and safe treatment for moderate to severe common psoriasis.
