Abstract

The incidence of interstitial ectopic pregnancy is increasing. Interstitial ectopic pregnancy is inherently low viability and therefore almost always requires intervention. However, it should be distinguished from cornual pregnancy or anguler pregnancy, which are not classified as ectopic pregnancy and can lead to normal pregnancy. Therefore, correct diagnosis of interstitial pregnancy is very important to achieve safe and effective treatment. Traditional treatment by open surgery is gradually being replaced by laparoscopic. However, surgery is associated with high risk and adverse effects on fertility. With the development of early diagnosis and chemotherapy, many treatment methods are gradually being applied, with the common goal of achieving high efficacy and minimal invasiveness. In this article, we explore the modern diagnostic criteria and the various treatment methods that have clinical significance.
