Objective: To assess quality of life and identify associated factors in patients with psoriasis at Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 381 psoriasis patients attending the hospital between February and October 2025. Quality of life was measured using the Psoriasis Disability Index (PDI). The Kruskal–Wallis and Mann–Whitney U tests were applied to examine factors associated with PDI scores.
Results: The median PDI score was 26 (IQR: 17–34). In univariable analyses, PDI scores differed significantly according to disease duration (p = 0.001), lesion location (p < 0.001), family history of psoriasis (p < 0.001), and PASI severity (p < 0.001). The highest median PDI score was observed among patients with severe disease, defined as PASI >20.
Conclusion: Quality of life in patients with psoriasis was significantly impaired. Disease duration, lesion site, family history, and PASI severity were significantly associated with PDI scores. The findings support attention to disease control and psychosocial care in the comprehensive management of patients with psoriasis.
