Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study combined with retrospective review of 2025 immunization records was conducted among 330 mothers/caregivers of children under 12 months of age. Child immunization status was verified from the national immunization software, health-station registers, and individual immunization cards when available; maternal knowledge and barriers were collected using a structured questionnaire.
Results: The proportion of children under 12 months who were fully immunized according to age at the time of survey was 75.2%; the proportion fully and timely immunized was 60.0%. Mothers/caregivers with adequate general knowledge accounted for 80.9%. The most common barrier to immunization was maternal workload (19.4%). In bivariate analysis, maternal workload, child illness, and lack or shortage of vaccines were statistically associated with incomplete immunization (p < 0.01). Full immunization was statistically associated with maternal knowledge, educational level, distance to vaccination site, economic status, vaccination reminders, and family tracking of the schedule (p < 0.05). These associations should not be interpreted as independent causal factors because multivariable adjustment was not performed.
Conclusion: The full immunization rate among children under 12 months was 75.2%, of which full and timely immunization reached 60.0%. Adequate maternal/caregiver knowledge was 80.9%. No serious adverse events following immunization were recorded in the health-station reporting system. Communication, active target management, catch-up vaccination, vaccine supply monitoring, and reminder systems should be strengthened to improve full and timely immunization coverage.
