12. ASSESSMENT CHANGES OF DISEASE MODEL IN THE POSTPANDEMIC COVID AND SOME RELATED FACTORS AT REQUEST-BASED POLY CLINIC DEPARTMENT – NATIONAL LUNG HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objectives: The study compared illness patterns and specific associated characteristics at the
National Lung Hospital’s On-Demand General Clinic (TYC) in the post-pandemic year 2022 and the
non-pandemic year 2019.
Study subjects and methods: A cross-sectional research comparing the records of 35,567 patients
who attended the clinic for outpatient assessment and treatment between April 2019 to September
2019 and April 2022 to September 2022.
Results: According to research findings, the structure of illnesses in the general clinic was a
respiratory disease; however, other specialist diseases, particularly reflux disease, were rising. The
number of patients attending the clinic grew dramatically in the post-covid period, primarily due to
asthmatic pneumonia, COPD, and lung tumors, and the proportion of people who came to the postCovid doctor was not much, mainly in April 2022, then dropped sharply.
Conclusion: The disease model is that after the epidemic, the group of non-communicable diseases
has increased, and the group of infectious and infectious diseases has decreased. At the same
time, the rate of post-covid infections is not much. This result is the basis for building equipment,
communication and human resource training to improve the clinic’s quality to meet the needs of the
people and the quality of examination and treatment at Central Lung Hospital post-pandemic period.
