Background: Mandibular angle fractures are common injuries in maxillofacial trauma, affecting anatomy, function and esthetics.
Objective: To describe the clinical and radiographic characteristics and to evaluate the surgical outcomes of intraoral treatment of mandibular angle fractures using titanium miniplate fixation.
Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 37 patients with mandibular angle fractures who underwent surgical treatment at Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital in Hai Phong, and Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital from October 2025 to April 2026.
Results: At discharge, 94.6% of patients had good occlusion. At 12 weeks after surgery, 86.5% achieved good overall outcomes.
Conclusion: Surgical treatment of mandibular angle fractures using an intraoral approach with titanium miniplate fixation showed favorable outcomes and offers aesthetic advantages by avoiding external scarring.
