THE TREATMENT RESULT OF ANORECTAL MALFORMATION AT NGHE AN OBSTETRICS AND PEDIATRICS HOSPITAL

Abstract

Objectives: To evaluate the treatment result of anorectal malformation at Nghe An Obstetrics
and Pediatrics Hospital.
Subjects-methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study of 20 children with anorectal
malformation at Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.
Result: The surgical time in the group of patients with combined abdominal, laparoscopic and
retrorectal surgery was 59.38 ± 18.98 minutes. The average length of stay of the patients was
9.2±2.6 days. 60% of the patients were assessed as moderate, none of the patients were in bad
condition according to the international classification standard of Wingspread (1986).
Conclusions: The anorectal malformation surgery is possible and safe. This method doesn’t
cause wound infection, burst the anastomosis, narrow the anastomosis, intestinal obstruction due to
postoperative adhesions.
