Objective: To evaluate the quality of medical examination and treatment and analyze some factors related to the quality of medical examination and treatment services at the Day Treatment Department of Children's Hospital 2, Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.
Research method: Descriptive cross-sectional study.
Results: 85.6% of pediatric patients' families were satisfied with the quality of medical examination and treatment services at the Day Treatment Department - Children's Hospital 2 in 2024 with an average score of service quality of 4.14 ± 0.89. Some factors related to the opinions of the pediatric patient's relatives about the quality include the gender and age of the pediatric patient's relatives, the ability of medical staff to quickly and effectively handle complaints and difficulties of patients and relatives; medical staff fully and thoughtfully prepare all aspects for the patient's discharge.
Conclusion: The study shows that to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services, it is necessary to pay attention to the group of female pediatric patient's relatives; children are the group that needs active support from medical staff, quick and effective handling as well as attentive care, carefulness, and responsibility of medical staff in their work.
