Materials and methods: Cross-sectional description of 59 patients with acute poisoning and acute kidney injury treated at Nghe An General Friendship Hospital from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024.

Results: Average age 55.3 ± 16.5; men account for 81.4%; history of chronic liver disease (27.1%), history of 2 or more diseases 20.3%, healthy 28.8%; the cause of poisoning is alcohol (50.8%). Circumstances of poisoning and abuse (50.8%). Clinical features include oliguria (47.5%), hypotension (44.1%). Paraclinically there was increased lactate (81.4%), metabolic acidosis (78%). The common level of acute kidney injury is stage 1 (54.2%). Poisoning by alcohol, traditional medicine, or pesticides often causes stage 1 and stage 2 kidney damage.

Conclusion: Acute poisoning with acute kidney injury is common in men. The most common medical history is chronic liver disease, the most common cause of poisoning is alcohol.
