Objective: To survey the current state of work motivation among clinical nurses at Kien Giang province General Hospital.
Methodology: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 278 clinical nurses. The data collection tool was a pre-designed interview questionnaire based on a 5-level Likert scale.
Results: The survey results showed that 219 clinical nurses (78.7%) had work motivation, with the factors work environment and sense of responsibility being rated the highest. Conversely, the factors work overload and adherence to working hours had the lowest motivation levels.
Conclusion: To enhance work motivation for clinical nurses, Kien Giang province General Hospital needs to reduce work overload and create conditions for clinical nurses to have opportunities for advancement and career development.
