Abstract

Objective: Value of prenatal diagnosis in complete duplex system  with ureterocele at Children hospital number 2.

Methods: A retrospective review of children who received treatment for ureterocele in complete duplex system in Children hospital number 2 between May 2003 and May 2013 was carried out.

Results: 58patientswith60ureterocelesin complete duplexsystemareexamined and treatedinthe period from05May2003 to05May2013.Including45femaleand13malepatients, 20ureteroceleinthe bladderand40ectopic ureteroceles. Groupprenataldiagnosis  UTIriskbeforeandaftersurgerywas lower thanthe group

without. The rate of surgery after initial endoscopic excision is split 55% for and 75% in group prenatal diagnosis and without prenatal diagnosis.

Conclusion: Through research we found that the role of prenatal diagnosis to help reduce the frequency of urinary tract infection before and after surgery, to reduce the incidence of back surgery in children.
