About the Journal

Journal Introduction

The Journal of Community Medicine (Tạp chí Y học Cộng đồng) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal in the health sciences, published in both Vietnamese and English. It is a prestigious publication featuring original research, reviews, commentaries, book and document introductions, as well as news and events covering all aspects of research, policy dissemination, education, practice, and training across the fields of medicine and pharmacy, clinical medicine, biomedicine, preventive medicine, and public health.

The Journal of Community Medicine is a member of Crossref, a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration agency of the International DOI Foundation. This membership enables the connection of published articles to a global network spanning many countries. All published articles are assigned a DOI to enhance their discoverability, accessibility, connectivity, and citation potential. The journal is included in the annual list of recognized health science journals evaluated by the State Council for Professorship.

Purpose and Mission

The Journal of Community Medicine is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary academic journal in the health sciences, published by the Institute of Community Health under the Vietnam Medical Association.

  • It publishes information regarding the activities of the Institute of Community Health.
  • It periodically publishes scientific research in medicine, pharmacy, biomedicine, biomedical technology, and other health science disciplines.

Scope of the Journal

  • The Journal of Community Medicine publishes articles and scientific research in the health sciences, including:
  • Original papers;
  • Review papers;
  • Case studies;
  • Commentaries;
  • Thesis/dissertation reviews;
  • Medical and pharmaceutical scientific information.

The journal serves as a scientific forum for scientific organizations, hospitals, research institutes, universities, students, doctoral candidates, lecturers, physicians, pharmacists, and scientists—both domestic and international—to publish and exchange academic research within the health sector.

Publication and Release Schedule

  • Vietnamese edition: Monthly (12 issues per year, excluding supplements, special issues for conferences/seminars, and proceedings).
  • Release date: The 25th of every month.
  • English edition: Biannual (2 issues per year). Published on the 25th of the month (May through November)
